Languages and their advantages

Do you speak English? Parlez-vous français? Hablas espanol? Parlate italiano? Multilingual people may develop some distinct advantages over monolingual peers. New research in the neurobiology of bilingualism has found that being fluent in two or more languages, particularly from early childhood, enhances a person’s ability to concentrate and it also protects against the onset of dementia and age-related cognitive decline, primirarly Alzeheimer’s disease. Speaking different languages enhances people’s verbal and non-verbal abilities. Multilingualism is a resource and not a disadvantage. >>>>>>>>>>>
